If the Light Rail is built, the National Park will become a lot smaller, and the Birdwing Butterfly may become extinct.
A butterfly flutters about in the forest. Its wings - blue and yellow with black markings. It will fly from one flower to the next, collecting nectar and pollinating other plants.

As you walk along the footpath of Burleigh Headland National Park, you will be shaded by the canopy of glowing green leaves. Green leaves which filter the sun revealing the beauty of nature.

On your left there is a wall of roots, hugging rocks, breaking rocks, tangled together in competitive harmony.
You will hear the song of different birds from different directions - some close, some distant. If you're lucky - maybe, just maybe - you will see the rare Birdwing Butterfly. If you see this wonderous creature capture its presence by taking a picture of it. Talk about this with your friends and you will feel as though nature has gifted you with this jewel of fleeting colours.

Show your concerns, state your opinions, protest. You can protect nature - from the greatest rainforest to the smallest butterfly.
